alright, i'm thinking about getting an alt for minecraft to do afk-grinding and stuff. So i have anew mojang account, but how do i change the minecraft username?

Unfortunately Mojang doesn't let you change your username once you set it, so if it is already made and has a username, then you're outta luck :/

Nonono, i haven't bought the account yet for minecraft. i simply wish to sign up for a mojang account so when i go to buy minecraft, the name's there. or does it work like when you buy it, THEN you get to choose the name?i'm sure they don't want emails being usernames...

Oooohhh, okay so what I did when I first got Minecraft was make an account first, then buy it with that account. I'm assuming that that is still how you do it these days.

Edit: Okay I looked into it and yeah you make the account first and then buy it.

First you buy it and it will ask you: Please enter in a new minecraft username
But if u want to log in to that one account, then you need to enter the e-mail address and password to log in, not just your new name.

okay thanks. i have no clue how the new system works... I'm only familiar with the old one when i bought minecraft in 2010
