Building My Own Computer

Ok, so I get a lot of lag and my computer crashes A LOT. And many people say, "Build your own computer zuko! Ya n00b!" So I am doing that. I am building a gaming PC for $400 which can take pretty much everything you through at it. So I did my research (I know right. Zuko? Research? What is this witchcraft?) and here is what it has:

Default
Intel Pentium G850 CPU - $75
Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 Motherboard - $45
Asus Radeon HD 7750 Graphics Card: http - $100
4GB Corsair XMS3 1333MHz DDR3 RAM - $20
500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive - $67
500W Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus Power Supply - $28
Fractal Design Core 1000 MicroATX Case - $40
Operating System - Windows 7 Home Premium - $90 (Will probably use Windows 8)

Suggestions I have been told
CPU: Intel Core i3-2120
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 Graphics Card
Memory: 8GB Corsair XMS3 1333MHz RAM
HDD: 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive
PSU: 500W Corsair CX500 Power Supply
Case: Antec 300 Case

Any other suggestions? Leave them below and put in the price! :D
I am very excited about this!

zuko, if you want a PC that can take a lot, raise your budget up to more like $600 or $700.

(a major no-no i'd say is the processor, the computers at my school use pentiums and they are horrid)

Alright ill look for a better processor. Also i had this convo b4 with chubby; this PC is great for gaming, its not the greatest but it is good and decent PC for gaming, but i can't have it at like high resolution or high quality on every game. But it will take pretty much every game. Such as:
Steam
Minecraft (FTB)
LoL
WoW
Other downloads too, such as:
Skype
Teamspeak
Plus, I am using my own money for this and the highest i can possibly go now is $400, after my birthday/graduation party, i will probably raise the price range to like $500 or $600 if im lucky

I'd definitely go with windows 8. Its faster works better and is less laggy in minecraft. I dual boot 7 and 8 (never really use 7) and 8 is a lot faster.

As far as processors go, get at LEAST an i5 from Intel, or an AMD A8. Bare minimum. i3's okay I guess, but I've had bad experiences with the pentiums :I

For processors, I assume you're on a budget build. I personally would recommend getting the AMD Phenom II x4 quad core processors, as they have been shown to outperform the current generation AMD FX processors. Although an i3 may be sufficient at playing games, remember that it is a dual-core processor. I assume you would want more "bang for the buck". Currently, Phenom II's are out of stock some places, but amazon has it here for roughly $100.http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Phenom-3-4Ghz-512KB-4000MHZ/dp/B002SRQ214/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373142464&sr=8-1&keywords=phenom+II I would also reccommend a modular power supply, which basically allows you to plug in only the connections you need, and in my experience building a pc without a modular psu is a complete hassle. If you're going with the i3 OR the Phenom II, I strongly suggest you get an aftermarket CPU cooler, as the stock cooler the cpu comes with is absolute loud and crap. Try the Cooler Master Hyper 212+, an affordable (but massive, however; it will fit inside your antec 300 case fine.) http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Hyper-Plus-RR-B10-212P-G1/dp/B002G1YPH0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1373142695&sr=1-1&keywords=cooler+master+212%2B It's only $24, and after rebate, you can get as low as something like $13. I guarantee it will be the best 24 bucks you've spent. Anyways remember that the i3 is a dual-core processor with hyper threading, and that the phenom II one is quad core, with a larger cache, faster clock speeds (can be overclocked easily with the hyper 212+ cooler), although it gives off a bit more heat. Perfect for your build. Anyways, do your homework and have fun building ;)

Oh yeah, and... try www.pcpartpicker.com
it's basically a template where you can plan and organize your parts.
