The only numbers you can generate with that equation are 81, 72, 63, 54, 45, 36, 27, 18, and 9. If you look at the board, the symbols change every time, but those numbers are always the same. This ensures that the number you come up with is the one that it shows.
As you see, all of those numbers are flags on here:
