How the vote for Veterancy works

Many of you are wondering, or are already complaining about how Veterancy works, and this post will try to help you understand how the process is achieved.
The system is Set up to be fair and impartial, however there is still a human element to it. Those among the community (GOOD & BAD) who are most known to Veterans, Donors, and Moderators; will get a boost or vetoed out respectively. Those who fall in-between sometimes get debated their merits & cons or passed for the month to see if they can clean up their act.
Is it a popularity contest? Ultimately no...
- Zerg takes forty players who are active and have voted (Hours played since last vote & how many votes in a month).
- This list is given to Veterans, and Moderators.
- They shorten the list to ten.
- This "Short List" is given to the Community.
- Depending on how close the tie is, 1 - 3 players can become Veteran.
