Hello.

It's been a while huh?
I've been listening to this on repeat while browsing these forums, and the wave of nostalgia along with the song pretty much inspired me to make this post. Just gonna put this here in case anyone wants to join in on this emotional venting, cause I need to get some thoughts out of my head.

In any case, Hi there, I'm killbot11.
I joined back when I was around 11 or 12 when I was in middle school.
Now I'm 17, and about to head into my last year of high school.
I'm not entirely sure how I ended up back here, but looking through the forums and whatnot, I felt like I needed to say something. A final goodbye of sorts I guess. Since I never really got to say goodbye to all my friends (who I'm sure don't play on this server anymore.) I figured that now would be a good a time as any to give my final thoughts on the server. :/
Where to begin...
It's kind of hard to believe that almost 6 years ago I was playing on this server with such excitement and fervor.
I found this server through one of UpMax's videos, the one with aqua city, way back when the 1.7 beta map was still accessible. I joined to meet UpMax in hopes of becoming famous (Because as a kid, I thought that was all you needed) and I ended up staying for the incredibly kind and friendly community.
To put it more intensely, I played on other servers before, and it was only with this server that I truly felt a connection with the community. It genuinely just felt like a singleplayer map with friends and I loved that.
It's weird to think about how these days, I've lost interest in Minecraft entirely, when 6 years ago, I played religiously on this server.
I remember playing from morning to night daily, mining for diamonds,
And so many other memories which aren't as crucial to my love for this server as the ones listed above are.
So many fun memories...
I want to take some time to talk about my two closest friends in Minecraft.
1stLtSparklez and CarlosRDuque
Man, it feels weird to type out their names again.
I met Sparklez back in 2012, when I was leeching off his massive mob grinder. He caught me in the act and we somehow ended up becoming friends. Then he introduced me to Carlos and we've all been friends all the way to 2014.
Sparklez and Carlos had a massive project, "Crocus Empire" it's called now. It was supposed to be based on the city, "Magnolia" from Fairytail. The damn thing went through 4 iterations due to the server changing maps and being split. (Remember Arcation?) The 2nd version should still out there in the server, and a barebones fifth one is also there.
3 years of failed repeated projects... you have to get tired of it eventually. And I guess they did since they stopped playing and haven't been back since 2015 as far as I know.
It got real lonely for me ever since, I would often spend my time organizing chests, digging, circling the island we lived on, waiting to see them again.
I even made little graves dedicated to them because I was so lonely in the server.
I never did see them again though.
Inevitably, I also ended up leaving the server.
Those two made every moment I spent in Minecraft feel fulfilling and meaningful.
There was always something to do with them around.
It legitimately makes me melancholy knowing I might never get to experience what I experienced here in this server ever again.
During my final days on the server, I spent some time wandering around spawn. Visiting old homes and landmarks.
And while I was wandering, I saw so many unfinished projects. So many empty towns and houses.
It was like visiting a graveyard.
But I guess we all have to move on eventually, right?
You know, it's funny. Back then I wanted to be veteran so badly. I would try my best to help others in an attempt to get the mods and admins to acknowledge me and push me up to Veteran status.
6 years later I'm still have my resident status, and I kinda want to keep it that way.
It's been a crazy 6 years for me and I'm glad you were all part of it.
Thank you all. Everyone in the server. And anyone who reads this.
For all the fun.
For all the fights.
For all the work we put in.
For all the work we wasted.
For all the people I got to say hi to.
For all the people I never got to say goodbye to.
Thank you all for being a part of my childhood and adolescence.
So long guys.

I remember playing from morning to night daily, mining for diamonds,
- Travelling to towns and cities I heard of from UpMax.
Getting confused as to why my inventory was different in the temp 1.8 beta map than the 1.7 beta map.
Seeing Wall-E/Eve inopportunely respond to players.
Seeing Aqua City with my own eyes.
Figuring out how to achieve Veteran status.
Digging and growing my first home in the 1.8 temp map on a lonely island far from spawn.
People somehow finding my remote island and wanting to live with me, which ended up turning my home into a small town of about 4 people, where everyone had their own room.
Meeting 1stLtSparklez and CarlosRDuque.
Having an adventure in the Nether with a large party of people and getting separated.
Actually being able to be in an UpMax video.
And so many other memories which aren't as crucial to my love for this server as the ones listed above are.
So many fun memories...
