Nether Trouble

I built a nether portal to get nether items but it spawned me in some other players home (evilawesome990 and Oiggy) I found that i cant amke any chests or anything. So in order for me to get and save supplys in the nether im gonna need to go to the nether and go into a dangerous area to get to my home (it isnt real i have'nt built it yet.) I was wondering if someone could change where my nether portal goes to an empty area or to where i can build.

To figure out where your nether portal should lead, all you need to do is some simple algebra:
First, by your portal in the overworld type /checkzone.

If it says Pandora: then look at the x and z coordinates in your F3 menu (OR the first and last numbers in /gps are your coordinates) and put them into these equations:

(OverworldX-10000)/8   
([OverworldZ-10000]/8)-50000

If it says New continent then do:

OverworldX/8
([OverworldZ-10000]/8+50000

If it says Old Continent, do:

Code: Select All Code

OverworldX/8
OverworldZ/8

Take the X and Z numbers you get out of those, and go to that location in the nether, build a portal there and it should link up back and forth to your portal at your house! =D

If you cannot understand those, just post your /checkzone and overworld X and Z coordinates in a reply to this, and ill put them through.

Zone is Pandora. X= 8163 Y=56 Z=8505

Portal should be at or close to:

X: -230
Y: Nearish 56, but doesn't matter as much
Z: -50187

X and Z are negative.
