So yeah, this is a fairly old topic, but at the same time, I could not figure out how to make a new topic. I can't connect to the server. I have tried refreshing multiple times, and it says it just cant connect to the server. When I try to join anyways, I get the following message:

java.net.connectexception: Connection refused: No further information:

so.... what is happening?

Also, I can't connect to the chat here on this site either, for some reason.

This thread is REEEEALLLY old but the server has been down today. To post a new topic just press the "new topic" button what is on the top right corner.

The server is offline, so nobody can access it, you are correct.
