If we are going to do it, I'd want to start completely fresh (not like the previous new map keeping old items).

I think only a new continent/expansion. Those who want to can start a new on their own terms honoring themself to stay that way. Forcing those who spent a lot of time to start a new when its not necessary would be basically forcing a player group to abide by the other player group.

I'd go either way. Having a new continent would be nice, as this one is trashed already... however, at the same time, I personally wouldn't object to a whole new map. I feel if we were to start fresh it would make minecraft... minecraft again.. We are reaching the point where we really don't need to gather new materials or anything... However, I've put a lot of effort into this map... so I'd be okay with staying here as well. I don't really have a big preference on this...
