Creative and survival server?

We all know theres creative and survival servers, in survival (for me) its REALLY laggy but creative its not that laggy. So i was asking this for WHY is survival is so laggy. (me no go that much....)

i have heard that zerg had to decrease the amount of RAM the survival server had and the fact that its running two worlds

Yeahm this is one of the reasons the 1.7 world is gonna be turned into a look only world(no mobs/no building or breaking etc). so the RAM can be utilised for the new map that is gonna replace the temp map.

There's lots and lots of signs at temp spawn too (a few thousand within far render range).. which cuts my framerate by a factor of 3 to 4..

Temp spawn is so freaking laggy. Im afraid to go there because it might crash my game. It crashed twice while trying to get out of there.

I know... whenever I go there I get to like 0 FPS. =/ I try to avoid it as much as I can...
The other spawns aren't like that.. maybe because of all the glass, and water? It's just super annoying.
