Some questions about mining

So, today I found out that I was not allowed to mine in the main 1.0 world, is this true? What would happen if I already have a strip mine? would I get banned/in trouble? I never knew that they werent allowed until today.

Does all mining have to be in /mine? The only reason I havent been using mine is because I cant establish a mining set up to get down to diamond level easy. I would also like to suggest adding parts to /mine that are not regenerated, like around the outside edge?

I think strip mines are the only thing not allowed.

All mining SHOULD be done in /mine. I don't think mining UNDER YOUR place is a big deal.

also, just dig down with a fire potion on, you'll be fine.

Mccoy me and stom said it was against the rules, remember? But yeah i'm pretty sure Zerg said no mines on regular map but i guess its fine as long as it doesn't go under other peoples houses.
