Petition to stop Kick/Ban Wars

First I'd like to just ask, I thought Kreatious was a grief-free zone, but I was being griefed so hard earlier, I had to restart my whole client several times. It is because, every time the mods have a "kick/ban war" every time they kick someone, my game freezes for about 10 seconds. I don't know why this is, my connections are all fine, I never lag when it rains or when I'm in heavy movement areas, around water or lava. Nothing. Just when they are kicking people every 3 seconds.

So between kicks, I type out, tabbing to both of them to please stop, because it makes me lag really bad. They ignored me for several moments, and continued kicking. Which is ridiculous in itself.

Even if this didn't make me lag so bad, it is extremely annoying. It floods the entire chat and forces you to sit back and wait until they calm down until you can resume chatting.

It wouldn't annoy me so much, but every time I've politely asked them to stop, they either ignore me, or tell me that kick wars have always happened in Kreatious. Why is that a reason for them to continue?

So basically, I think that (especially because it seems Kreatious has like 30 mods), that they should not be able to abuse their kicking and banning powers like this. Because it is annoying, visually disruptive, and it makes me lag.

(I am in no way telling mods what to do, I am presenting my argument here on the table for all to see, and I'd like to know if anyone else feels the same)
I love this server, no one breaking my stuff, a friendly community for the most part, cool TPs and Cities to explore. So far, these ridiculous kick/ban wars are the only thing I absolutely despise about the server. I'm trying to get settled in, and finish some projects, and I was intending to donate some money because honestly this server seems the best, but if the mods are going to freeze me up for 15+ minutes every evening, I'm just going to have to find somewhere else.

Signed, this server is awesome but I feel the mods should use their "power" for helping ppl, not trolling/spamming people. Outside of cruiserman and 3rods, the only thing I have seen mods do is kick each other. In fact someone was on today spamming another server while 2 Cmods were on and nothing happened, in fact a donor had to step up and asked them to stop advertising and to leave. Maybe keep a tighter leash on those Mods?

Look, all the mods do when they log on is get yelled at by rsd and defaults to fix greif, We are taking TIME out of our minecraft play time to help YOU. And when we do finally get to have some fun, we get yelled at. Its not our fault that you freeze, you should fix that!

as for hay, i have been sick for the past 2 days and have been on my ipod. Ive wanted to demote my self just for this period of time. Also, A tighter leash on mods? PFFFFT.

Petitioning to stop kick wars? Truth be told, I do have a few issues about this, my main point is that these kicks are NEVER directed towards anyone who isn't cmod or above, in other words, we don't kick anyone who can't kick back.

So basically, I think that (especially because it seems Kreatious has like 30 mods), that they should not be able to abuse their kicking and banning powers like this. Because it is annoying, visually disruptive, and it makes me lag.

Now to point out a few facts. Kreatious only has an active staff of 7-8 mods, saying we have 30 is grossly over-counting. Now imagine, at a given time there might be one, maybe even two, mods on, usually they get swamped with people requesting help, sometimes more people than there are mods on, this does get a bit tedious for the mods to juggle all of these people at once. Now, for the kicking part, we tend to kick when the server isn't as busy, typically during the night for the U.S., when someone actually does need help we drop it and go help them out. Why do we kick? We do it to blow off steam, dealing with grief alerts and hackers does get tedious, so this is our way from preventing us from going completely mad. I do understand that it might get annoying with the messages, but we tend not to "spam" with it, majority of the messages pertain to the last kick. Now, for the lag, I personally find this hard to believe, if you lag every time someone got kicked wouldn't you lag every time someone signed off the server? That's basically what it is, just making someone leave. This is my side of the argument, I hope you at least understand where we're coming from.

As for all the stress and time given, I appreciate what you guys do, but you have to realize it is just a game, it isn't your full time job to mod this server on minecraft, I can't see how any amount of stress could amount on you.

I mod several things, chatrooms on sites, forum sites for GuildWars, Guilds on Guildwars, a server on Minecraft, several smaller chatrooms, and there are always problems and questions to answer, but I never let it get me stressed out to the point that I'd take it out on my members.

(ALSO, just the fact that you both ignored me, and then joked about it to the extent that it could be called being made fun of, after I asked you to stop, that is what really gets to me. I've never had a single run-in with the rules on this server, I listen, I am respectful, I help other members, and when I ask you to stop something, and I have a perfectly good reason, you laugh it off and continue. It is very disrespectful to me simply as a person, let alone a member of your server)

Who the hell cares!? I know it's only some people trying to have fun with the game. I vote that they can do kick wars because some people just wanna have fun!

Majority of the server's players are in their early teens, some of which set on their ways, but to be honest the Kreatious community does have a number of players and counting, but it isn't huge. Even is it isn't a huge community there is still plenty of drama, usually mods have to come in and clean up, sometimes even deal with multiple times because someone refuses to listen. As for the full time job comment, we do realize Minecraft is a game, that's why we try to make it fun for people to play on. We do try to play the game, but it's kind of hard with people asking for help solving their issues with land and griefs, and responding hack alerts. Now is kicking other mods abusive? Personally I think that's an opinion. My opinion? It's not that abusive, true abuse of power would be permanently banning players in chat who disagree with you, breaking off locks to chests to take valuable inside, stripping away ownership of land and then griefing it, and even deleting forum posts that we don't agree with. Now would you rather play on a server where the staff kick each other on down time or play on a server where mods ban, grief, and steal from players on a whim? As for the kick war earlier where we ignored you, I have no real excuse for that except that we were caught up in the moment, I do apologize for that, but I'm still set on my opinion.

I have seen someone get a small ban for repeatedly logging in/out, because its spamming (the /ban reason was for spam). So how does what y'all do for "fun" not fall under the same category of spam? If you guys want to have fun by all means have fun, but do not put yourself above the rules. Mods are looked up to (or at least they should be) and they should honestly "lead by example". If a new player joins the server, and is greeted by a wall of kick spam, from the mods none the less, what does that tell him about the server? I personally do not have a problem with you kicking each other for fun, as long as its few and far between, when my whole entire extended chat pane is full of nothing but kicks, disconnected from server, and connected to server messages, THAT is spam, and THAT is what I have a problem with.

PS: Don't use the excuse "Everyone crys to me all day to fix stuff". That is your job, you knew exactly what it entailed when you accepted that privilege.

Why are you making a big deal out of this? it's just something Mods and us Cmods do for fun. i don't know what's wrong on your end that makes you lag, but that is not a problem that anyone else is experiencing. as for flooding the chat, a kick only takes 2 lines, and usually they don't flood the chat unless there's at least 4 mods or more, all participating in it, which is rare. now, maybe it would be nice if we had silent kicks, or a /option kickmessage/banmessage but other than that, i don't find it to be a big deal.
