I was tp'd into a block and lost my items when using /mine

I was intending on trying to find an ocean monument to raid in regen but when I used /mine it politely placed into a block and suffocated me.
Is there anyway for me to get my elytra and my armor back or replaced? Otherwise i may need to take a break from minecraft.

It usually doesn't do that. The code used to put people in water too but will usually try to find land relative to the coordinates and tries to put you at the top most blocks. You're welcome to pick through a chest(s) of armour(and an elytra) I have from regen_end cities and I can help you get what books my villagers might sell if it helps.

If you haven't been to that area in regen (/mine world) your items might be there still because the chunks would have been unloaded but if suffocation happened maybe not.
