Mining bug

Mining bug

by Hrodgard » Thu Mar 29, 2012 7:32 pm

I am experiencing a bug when mining out my underground base on the survival map.
It seems that I can break stone blocks at normal speed and the block next to it at a much lower speed. This is a recurring problem for a few layers now.
I used a diamond pickaxe. Enchanted and not enchanted doesn't make a difference. But when I place a torch on the blocks that mine at slow speed normally, they mine at normal speed again :?

Today I made a diamond pick with 1 efficiency and 1 unbreaking. I can mine at normal speed with it. The slow blocks still mine a bit slower, but not much. Seems that efficiency can solve this bug.

Edit:
Efficiency solves it. Been enchanting picks with eff 1 and it works.
