Can't connect to telnet/ssh

hey guys, i tried to connect to telnet yesterday
(i'm not on putty, have a mac, i'm using zoc6)
when i enter the information (select telnet, ip: play.kreatious.net)
i get a disconnect thing saying alan_x_zhu disconnected- insufficient rank- resident
does using this feature require donor+ because i asked zerg how to connect when i had
my donor status. and he never responded...

It's vtn+, used to be Rsd+ but i guess some people abused it or something. idk. He also has to allow your ip address or something. being rsd, he wont for you.
