Skype Virus

by pokeboy0217 » Tue Oct 09, 2012 2:53 am

Lately there has been a virus that spreads through Skype. If anyone on your Skype contacts sends you this message "lol is this your new profile pic?" with a link to virus, DO NOT CLICK ON IT!! It immediately downloads the virus onto your computer. It just uses Skype to spread out by spamming all your contacts but really is a key logger which means it tells the hacker every key u press on your keyboard so do not enter any bank account username and passwords or any other important information. I have unfortunately gotten this virus on my computer so if you have me on Skype, do not accept any link I send you. Be careful not to click on it and hopefully no one else on Kreatious will get the virus.

Ain't gotten it, but Malwarebytes seems to get rid of it... Though it is recommended to never click links you don't know. them tinyurl or w/e sometimes can hide the automated download of viruses. If on skype... Maybe talk to the person? to make sure its really them sending it and not a hacked account.

Skype will be acting like a virus. 1. DELETE SKYPE FROM YOUR COMPUTER. 2. RELAX AND HAVE FUN!

Just run an antivirus scan, gets rid of it.

The key logger file isn't on Skype. It's somewhere else. Its the file that spams your contacts that's on Skype.

Some of you dont seem to know how a trojan works >.>
This specific trojan is an archived zip file with a dangerous .exe (executable) file in it. It is safe until the file is opened. Once the file is opened it will infect various files in your computer, it will then delete itself so there is no simple right click and "Delete" Simply know what you are opening or get an antivirus.
