Ireland & Christmas-yes, I'm a Christian, I don't say X-mas

Zuko, did you know that the first letter in the Greek word for Christ is Chi, and Chi is represented by an X symbol? X-mas is a completely proper abbreviation for Christmas, and has been around almost as long as Christianity itself.

No, what I mean by "X-mas" is because people who don't believe in Christ don't want him in their everyday-life so they take him out of "Christ"mas and make it "X"-mas. And many of us, Christians, don't like that. And, yes, Chi does mean "X" but it only is meant for "P" in the next part of the (sorry I can't get the symbol on this computer :/)
If the "P" and the "X" aren't together in one symbol, then it doesn't count as Christ's holy name.

ace has a wonderful point, and I have never met an atheist who has called it x-mas and I only hear Christians call it x-mas I have never heard of the notion that its a nonbeliever specific term I think that is just urban legend really...

Gee Morpher, thanks! One of the ONLY times your posting something on the forums and it is something I wouldn't want to hear. And just a question, are you even a Christian (out of curiosity)? And where I come from only atheists say x-mas and Christians say Christmas, because for atheists, x means "No Christ" and x-mas means "No Christ in Christmas" so they made x-mas. Atheists believe in NO god (Not God, just any other god) So if you see atheists around where you live and they say CHRISTmas then they THINK they are atheist but they aren't or they are lieing and they are Christians.
