North Korea Tensions Thread, GOOO!

So, what are your guys' thoughts on the whole North Korea thing?
Do you think they'll really try to go through with their plan?
Whom do you think China will side with, if they side with anyone at all?

Sorry if this is considered inappropriate, just wanted to share some thoughts with you guys.

Anyways, I think they'll just threaten us to the point where they either do or don't follow through. Even if they do follow through, it doesn't look good for NK.
I don't think China will go for either side; They know if they go against us, it could spark WWIII. Which would not be good.
I actually don't hope for war with NK; Grandpa who served in Korean War died in Feb.
I don't think he'd want to see another war with them.
inb4> NK will go splody if they go up against South Korea and 'Merica.

Anywho, give me your thoughts n' stuff. Feel free to share opinions.

Personally, I don't think anything is going to happen. North Korea's mad about recent UN sanctions imposed as punishment for North Korea's recent round of nuclear tests. By having a temper tantrum, they're trying to establish a position of strength from which to bargain. They're trying to scare the world into giving them what they want in exchange for them settling down and behaving themselves again. Only they won't attack anyone, regardless of their threats. They won't because that would violate the UN Ceasefire that halted the Korean War of 1950-53. That war saw the UN intervene and defeat North Korea's attempted conquest of South Korea.

North Korea's declarations are nonsense. The Korean War never ended.
North Korea's still at war with the UN and long list of UN countries (including America, Australia, Britain, Canada, France, & more) that liberated South Korea during that war.
If North Korea breaks the ceasefire, the war automatically resumes.

That's not going to happen.
North Korea has no actual desire to finish losing a war they already lost.

Well this afternoon Australia tried to defend America in this. Now Korea have threatened Australia too... this could get interesting...

I do not know weather or not they have the intention of nuking us, but if they do we will be in ANOTHER nuclear war since WWII. But they might because maybe they want revenge on us from winning the war? All I know is that my grandpa served in the Vietnam War and in the Korean War, and while he was there he saw all of the poverty and suffering they had to go through, so it might be revenge. Anyway I say no comment on weather or not they do launch it, but I just hope we get troops over there and stop the nuke before it is launched, or stop it halfway here in the USA or to Australia.

North Korea can not hit Australia so they are pretty dumb

We have about every country an ally. They don't stand a chance. We got all of NA (North America), possibly South Korea, they HATE NK now, Russia, China, and maybe even Japan. I'm hoping for Russia and China to rush in and attack North Korea and kill them all. THEY ARE STUPID. NUFF HAS BEEN SAID

Thanks! My friend's dad is actually quite opinionated about this subject, and I did a little research and made my own opinion. Always happy so give input on things.
