Reset creative map on Dec. 31st?

by zerg960 » Tue Dec 27, 2011 11:50 pm

Well, upgrading (rather, moving) creative to another hosting provider based in Kansas City. The problem is that the hard drive only has 32GB total. 19GB of it is free, and needs to be used for the database + backups of the map.

so...

anyone wanna reset creative to a copy of the 1.0 survival map before it went public?

I'm fine with a reset, and for future...I have a 500gb hdd in my computer that has nothing on it. I can periodically store saves there.

Please. Make a builder rank. People we KNOW that won't screw around with tnt and lava. That'd be their only benefit!

I completely agree with this. I suggest the below:

TNT, fire, lava and water should only be freely available (as it is now) to Veteran/Donor+

TNT and fire should be disabled for resident and below.

Lava and water should be limited for residents. I suggest 1 bucket use per minute, or similar. This way a standard 30 bucket grief, that would take less then a minute, now takes 30 minutes. Griefers will get bored and move on to another server.

Lava and water should be further limited for defaults. One bucket every 2 minutes, maybe.

If we can get a download link for the creative maps, I'm completely fine with resetting them for the new year. :)
